davykesey: This evening was the last of four times this summer when the sunset perfectly aligns with the grid of Manhattan. The view was incredible, of course, but what really struck me is the effect it had on the city. People flood the streets, traffic slows, and everyone takes it in. An entire city pauses for a moment to stop and simply marvel. It was beautiful.

cross-connect:

Miguel Marquez Outside is a Tumblr blog of Michael Pederson, a street artist from Sydney, Australia.

The artist manages to turn street art on its head – the pieces look like actual, official signage that would be installed in public places, rather than “graffiti.” The pieces are also installed in a temporary, non-destructive manner. The botanical plaques and lists of  instructions contain information that is useful and even important (along with a bit of humor, of course).via
